MGMT and Yeasayer @ The Entry

MGMT @ The 7th St. Entry this Thursday Feb. 7th playing with Yeasayer

I've heard from a couple of sources this show is sold out. This comes as no surprise, this band is freeekin incredible and the entry is extremely tiny. MGMT really reminds of Supergrass to show you how much talent this band has. Not only they sound like a top band, they have tons of variety in their music, blending all sorts of sounds together. Go check out these guys from Brookyn. Their is a chance they'll have tickets at the doors. I'd take that chance. Just imagine Supergrass at the Entry.

they opened for Of Montreal in October and were pretty so-so honestly.

the record that came out in October has a few great tracks, but overall is just decent.

Yeasayer are great however.

i don't hear any Supergrass whatsoever in their sound though. They owe most everything tot he Lips & Mercury Rev.

a few songs do, i'll give you that, but overall? meh.

no reason whatsoever that they belong on a major label.
