Caroline Smith / DC Wright / Pomegranates / Andy Ulseth / La Foret @ The Nomad 9/20/09

These videos should explain how amazing the night was with some of the best Indie/Folk bands in the Midwest. With Pomegranates coming from Ohio, DC Wright(Wisconsin), Caroline Smith(Detroit Lakes, MN) these bands came from all over. Finishing up or in the middle of their tours all these bands her extremely sharp and were having a riot. Check all these bands out!
 

Opening the bill were two great locals in La Foret and Andy Ulseth.  La Foret was a nice quiet instrumental start to the evening. Questioning the crowd drew some laughs. My favorite was classic drum solo during the middle of their set.  This bunch is very young and I believe half of them are from Duluth. 

Andy Ulseth is are local Sondre Lerche(Norway) who happened to be playing that night at the fineline. Death Cab and Fleet Foxes are the more standard comparisons brought out by Andy's fans that describe his sound. With that said, Andy cleary has an excessive amount of talent and has pure devotion to playing tunes. This was not the first show playing with Caroline and DC Wright.
