#1 The Dodos @ The Turf Club 10/20/09 Not a british band? Yea can you believe it. I usually pick the show I moved around the most too and this was up their.


#2 Keane and Mat Kearney @ Myth 5/15/09 Yea I know Keane is a huge band but they still are phenomenal live. Keane and Coldplay will never sell out to me.


# 3 Lykke Li and Wildbirds and Peacedrums @ Varsity 2/8/09 Incredible stage performer, moved around the entire show. Plus her pal Justin Vernon(Bon Iver) was there.

#4 Arctic Monkeys 9/25/09 Who the fuck are the Arctic Monkeys? Well they're the biggest BritRock band since Oasis, and they continue to get better.


#5 Adele @ Fitzgerald 1/20/09 Best Female vocals in the world. Big thanks to my buddy Kyle for hooking me up with front row center tickets.


# 6 The Big Pink 11/25/09 They lived up to all the hype. Definitely bringing the psychedelic 80's UK rock sound back.


# 7 AC Newman w/ The Broken West @ 400 Bar 3/24/09 Even the gorgeous Nicole Atkins was at this show with special guest vocals on a few tracks. I can't imagine The New Pornographers being better than AC Newman's band.

#8 Lookbook (CD Release @ Kitty Cat Klub 10/3/09 They might be the best new local band right now!


#9 Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson 11/13/09 Miles is the real deal solo or with his band. Plus the dude came over to my friends house after the show and played more tunes. Come on.

#10 Pomegranates/Daredevil Christopher Wright/Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps @ Nomad 9/20/09 Just look at the lineup, where else could you see all three of these bands together at a tiny venue. Plus I helped put it together with my friend Adrian.

The Envy Corps at 80/35 festival, a bunch of SXSW performances, and White Lies in San Francisco all deserve to be in my top But I just stuck to the shows I saw in Minneapolis.
