Ra Ra Riot @ The Entry 9/12/08
Wow!!!!! After replacing another drummer this very young NYC band lives on, and brings us their first full length album "The Rhumb Line". Last night at the 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis I was once again blown away by Ra Ra Riot for the fourth time. RRR has so much talent yet so much potential, i.e. The Go Team! It still today amazes me that the American youth hasn't fallen in love with those two bands yet. Ra Ra Riot played their entire album, along with an encore cover by The Futureheads "Hounds of Love". Classic. I knew these guys loved Brit Bands every since they toured with The Cribs and Editors.
Labels: 7th st. entry, minneapolis, ra ra riot, the rhumb line

uh, just so you know... 'Hounds of Love' is a Kate Bush song originally, The Futureheads version was a cover as well.
Kate Bush is British.
Futureheads have been playing their version of "Hounds of Love" so long now it might as well be considered a classic, its their signature song.
Sorta like bands doing covers of Van Halen's 80's version of "You Really Got Me", instead of the original 60's song by the Kinks.
Check out my interview with Mathieu Santos of Ra Ra Riot at captainmelody.blogspot.com. Let me know if you want to link up.
