The Alarmists whipped out all the classics and of course a good # of new tunes for the lively crowd at the KC club. Despite lead singer Eric Lovold being sick, the entire band including Eric still blew everyone away with wow's and kept everyone dancing. The Alarmists should have a second release very soon as they start recording next month. As a big fan, you know The Alarmists have a lot of new material when they include 6 new tracks as apart of the set.
Flin Flon Bombers
Could be last show for this 60's pop band. Total Monkeys and Beatles with the sunglasses, it reminded me of the movie "That Thing You Do". Voxtrot from Austin Texas is also very similar to their sound. It was also the FF Bombers CD release show, which brought in more fans for the wonderful night at the Kitty Cat Club. Lets hope these guys keep playing shows..
Maps of Norway
Maps of Norway
Great band with a U.K. sound. Little Sounds, Blondie, Joy division... all sooo good. Lead singer Rebecca Leigh after the show said, "I can't stop listening to the new Wire record" Wire is one of the many influences this band has. It's amazing this band has never toured, considering they are ridiculously good live.
Videos will be up soon!!!!!
