Oasis rocks the house at Target Center 12/10/08
Brilliant show from the Gallagher brothers. Right away you saw that cocky snarl in Liam and Noel as they were poised to put on a memorable show. Both brothers got the crowd involved. The Fans covered some of the chorus on "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Wonderwall". Thank god their wasn't a crazy fan jumping on stage trying to knock over on of the Gallagher brothers. Oasis gave Minneapolis a 4 song encore, which included a Beatles track. Can't ask for more than that. Grab a copy of the new record "Dig Out Your Soul". Oasis will always "Live Forever".
Anybody Have a set list?
Thank you Jackie for letting me rock out in the second row with The Rock N Roll Star.
After the show I went over the Black Crowes show and I wanted to hang myself. Awful.
Watch Oasis "Slide Away"
Labels: minneapolis, oasis, target center

was my 8th time seeing Oasis, and easily one of the most boring.
the crowd was 1/4 full and barely moved save for a handful of people scattered throughout
Both Ryan Adams and Oasis were totally focused on the music, not much between-song banter. Fun show, couldn't ask for more.
After seeing Adams messy First Ave shows early in his career, his tight set last night showed us that he really is an accomplished musician. Great Americana songs.
Ryan's set was good, but not great imo... i'd probably give it a 6.5 or 7 out of 10
they sounded amazing, no doubt, but they are just not an arena band whatsoever. their sound lost a lot among the sparse crowd. not to mention he played mostly all off the last 2 records, arguably not his strongest albums.
while I enjoyed their set last night didn't even come close to his first Entry/Turf '00 shows, First Ave 2001, Orpheum 2002, or Cedar last summer. it was right in the middle of the 7x i've seen him. but heads and shoulders above the abysmal First Ave '03 and State Theater '05 shows at least, and that's about all I was hoping for, is just to not be letdown or him having a big ass meltdown like he tends to do in MN.
as for Oasis... i went in not really much of a fan, and came away at least admiring what they do, but was not converted unfortunately.
i will say though... i definitely got my $$ worth (ie: free) ;P
Good times. First time catching both bands.. It would of been nice to see Oasis 10-15 years ago at first ave. Noel is definitely an underrated musician.
that he is... have always loved Noel. not to mention he writes all their songs basically too
yea he does everything he's the man..
