The snow has finally stopped in Minneapolis but the British bands keep flying in with authority. This show will be in my top 10 for this year!!!!, will have to wait and see where they fall.... The night started of with a classic britpop band called Mohair.. Very catchy tunes with some good melodies.. I had the opportunity to film for these guys and hopefully can put together a nice little promo for them.. They reminded me a lot like the 88 (from L.A.), very funny guys.. Getting the crowd moving, clapping, and even a little dancing was a priority for these "Ace" rockers.
Moving on to the big ticket, Razorlight, can you say fucking brilliant! The Rolling Stones, The Strokes, and of course The Kinks.. remind everyone how good Razorlight really is. Their not at that stature yet, but just wait. I promise this arena band will be making a stand in America very soon. With England conquered, they're in the states on a mission to give Americans some of the best music out in our era of Rock N Roll. Sticking to the show, the band played for over and hour and put everything they had on the table. The big downfall to the show was a slow track to end the night and no "Rip it Up"(My favorite single). A bunch of friends of mine and a bunch of beautiful gals were ready to take off and hit the stage with good old (shirtless) Johnny Borrel and Razorlight. No Snow, No local bands, some of the best bands from England.. I have nothing to complain about. Lets hope these guys come back to the cities, play a little tennis, and rock out with another stellar Minneapolis crowd. Go buy one of their albums!!! I still like the first one(Up All Night a bit more) Razorlight the best show of 2007 so far???Goodnight and Good luck. -Brody

Randy Casey and Company playing George Harrison Tunes..

What better to finish the night checking out some cover tunes from a legend. After jumping around with Razorlight at the Varsity my uncle, roommate and i buzzed over to the Fineline to check out Randy's other band. My uncle is a big follower of Randy Casey and loves those classic 60's covers.. Unfortunately we only got to see three songs, but it was well worth it...Great band!!!
