Alison Lefevre is Living a Dream

alisonl
From this picture of Alison i see a story.  It's obvious you can see beauty, but something deeper lies behind this New York artist.  Feist and Tori Amos are easy influences. When you listen to Ms. Lefevre you'll here a lot of deep dark jazzy type of sound .  Two artists that I've been listening to a lot lately are Fiona Apple and Laura Marling, so I'm really getting an understanding on deep thoughts from all kinds of singers.  When female musicians express such moral thoughts, they often times come out depressing. "Beautiful but Buried" is one of my favorite lyrics from Alison's song "Wide Awake". When you hear such elegant vocals and expressions coming from her heart, you will only have a better understanding on her life and music.   Be careful though she does like clowns.
