Flin Flon Bombers CD review!

When I popped this record in i honestly thought it was the Beach Boys and  Beatles. I can only imagine if those bands collided together. Anyways,  The Flin Flon Bombers album consists of 22 songs, and is hidden inside a 7" LP. If you look at the photo above thats downtown Minneapolis!   Flin Flon Bombers and The Booze(from Atlanta) are todays only bands that you could mistake for a 60's band.  Yea i know a lot of bands sound like 60's bands and every band is heavily influenced by that time in rock n roll. But top to bottom this album flat out rocks.  Old fashion organ sounds and Pink Floyd sound effects, gotta love it. Flin Flon Bombers are one of the best local bands in town, but unfortunately are taking a long break after playing their CD release show with the Alarmists.  Pick this record up if you like the 60's, the bombers also put on a great live show!! Cajun Dance Party / Lerrone / Foals CD Reviews...

Cajun Dance Party comes from London and is mix between Razorlight/ Jack Penate / and Mystery Jets. Listening to this top to bottom several times, I've come to realize this will be the cd of the summer.  "The Colourful Life", is the name of their debut album which was released April 28th in the U.K. It already is a top 5o album in the UK.

Leerone is a singer songwriter from L.A. The name of her first full length album is "Imaginary Biographies".  Leerone had an EP back in 2003 and is poised to break into the music scene in L.A.  You know what they say in L.A., "Hollywood".

Foals is this years Klaxons.  This record titled "Antidotes" is incredible from start to finish. Foals debut album was released on Mar. 24th 2008 in the U.K.  If you like fast pace guitars and british vocals you'll love this band live and on record.  This band became a group in 2005 and hail from Oxford, England.
