Jack Penate w/ Miike Snow Jump Around @ Entry 9/26/09

Not exactly looking like Prince or MJ, Jack Penate sure brings the beats and voice. Pop/Soul/Indie whatever you want to call his music, it sounds good. One of my friends in the crowd drew more respect for Jack because he didn't use his british accent to gain advantage on pleasing the audience. I really dug his backing band as well adding more energy and noise to the set. Along with the nearly sold out crowd the band really got Jack excited throughout the set playing in Minneapolis.

After talking to Jack after the show he didn't say he had been collaborating with any artists other than Mike Skinner of (The Streets).

I'll be honest I was a little disappointed Penate didn't headline the show but Andrew Wyatt's band(Miike Snow) from Sweden was pretty good. Coming out as "Jabbawockeez", this band was truly great. They reminded me of local band Solid Gold, whose lead singer was also in attendance for this show.

Jack Penate and Miike Snow coming to Minneapolis Sep. 26th!

Both these guys have made their rounds in the states. But finally they come to the state of 10,000 lakes. Jack Penate is from England and has swept up a big fan base across the U.K. Jack's music is a mix of R and B, Indie-Rock, and Brit Pop. JP's got a brand new record out called "Everything is New", pick up a copy. You be the judge.

Look out all you Prince fans, Miike Snow is coming to town. Opening the show Miike's band hails from the musically rich country of Sweden. His record will be out soon.
