Coldplay Announces Summer U.S. tour..

1121708778_0bb513c521_o

Oh yea, they're coming to Minnesota. At The Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul!, which is way better than the Target Center in Minneapolis. This will be the third time seeing Coldplay (both shows at Target Center), third times a charm.  I wish they were playing First Avenue, but dreams are never reality.  Still waiting to hear the full album, not a fan of the new single, "Viva La Vida"

The Starting shows of the North American Tour

New York, NY Madison Square Garden (June 23)
Philadelphia, PA Wachovia Center (29)
Washington, DC Verizon Center (July 2)
Hartford, CT XL Center (3)
Detroit, MI The Palace of Auburn Hills (5)
Cleveland, OH Quicken Loans Arena (6)
St. Paul, MN Xcel Energy Center (8)

Amy Macdonald stops in New York's Mercury Lounge.

1158452257_8fd39180f6_b

Amy will be making her first appearance this year in the states.. She is blowing up all across the U.K. and comes from the big city of Glasgow. With a bit of Dolores O'Riordan(Cranberries) in her voice, Amy also adds a folky twist to her lovely songs. The most shocking part of Macdonald's success is that she's only 21. Ranging her musical talents on Piano and Guitar she looks like quite the veteran out there. 6 of her 12 major European Dates are already sold out. Lets hope a full U.S. tour is nearing, but pray she doesn't tour with her childhood favorites Elton John.

Here are Macdonald's only two U.S. shows so far set this year..

Apr 28th 2008 8pm Great Scott Allston, MA, USA

Apr 29th 2008 8pm Mercury Lounge New York, NY, USA

Adele set for full American tour!!!!!

adele

Adele a.k.a Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is turning into the new Queen of Soul. Adele's style and vocals look like they could hit America by storm. She does sound a lot like Amy Winehouse but I think her voice is much stronger. Ms. Adkins will set sail for her first full American tour supporting her new album 19. She's played in California and New York already, and unfortunately had to cancel her SXSW shows after getting sick.

Some of Adele's summer U.S. shows...

May 21st @ The Roxy Theatre L.A

May 31st Martyr’s Chicago

June 2nd Theatre De La Jeune Lune Minneapolis (where is this?)

June 10th Highline Ballroom New York

June 13th Bonnaroo Music Festival Manchester, Tennessee

The Kooks set off for U.S. Tour!!

2279827198_c9e4362d12_o

Kooks invade the states for a second time.  This time they will be playing in support of their sophomore release "Konk".  Their second full length will be released in the U.S. April 15th.   The Kooks will finally be making a stop in Minneapolis! A miracle has happened. I went to chicago to check these guys out at the metro, and let me tell it was worth it. They easily sold out the metro which holds about 1500. I'm just happy their label didn't put them on a tour with Swithfoot like they did with another great U.K. band Athlete. Not sure when tickets will be available. Get Ready For The Kooks!!!!!
